My work explores how extremist groups mediate gender on- and off-line. I am interested in recognizing male supremacist behaviors, movements, platform affordances, social actors, and languages or ‘cryptolects.’

While a master’s student at New York University’s Steinhardt Department of Media, Culture and Communication (MCC) I served as a teaching assistant to Dr. Ted Magder and Dr. Marita Sturken, respectively, and taught four sections of our undergraduate Introduction to Media Studies course. Additionally, while a research assistant to MCC MA Director and Professor Dr. Radha Hegde, I worked on projects involving borders and bordering, transnational feminism, and global media flows. Our forthcoming research analyzes the developing pipeline between misogynist incel communities and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Outside of academia, I am a loose leaf tea enthusiast, avid fantasy and science fiction reader, and cinephile.
